Introduction to formula optimization design method

There are many methods for optimizing the formulation of adhesives. Commonly used are single factor optimization method, multi-factor optimization method, orthogonal design, linear programming and improved simplex method.

(1) Single factor optimization method In the adhesive system of several components, (n-1) factors are fixed, and the level of one factor is gradually changed. The optimal level of the factor is evaluated according to the objective function, and the system is sequentially determined. The optimal level of each factor is finally combined with the optimal level of each factor into the best formula. Obviously, such a formulation is not the optimal formulation for the adhesive system. The single factor optimization method is the most basic method, but the actual problem is more complicated, and it should be preferred according to the sensitivity of factors to the influence of the objective function. Among the commonly used single factor optimization methods, there is a golden section method suitable for the extremum problem, namely the o.618 method and the fraction method, and the dichotomy method suitable for selecting the qualifying point problem.

(2) Multi-factor rotation optimization method The essence is to take one factor at a time, and select it according to the 0.618 method, and proceed in order to achieve the selection of various factors. From the second round, each time the single factor is preferred, only one test can be compared. The number of trials in this method is also high.

(3) Orthogonal test method This method is a multi-factor preferred method, which is characterized by selecting several levels of the same level for each factor, and scheduling a batch of tests according to the principle of uniform matching. Then, the test results are statistically processed to analyze the optimal horizontal matching scheme. The analysis of labor has a simple visual analysis method and an analysis of variance with reliability judgment. Currently, the orthogonal test method is the most used in the formulation design of adhesives.

(4) Improved simplex method The linear programming essence is the linear optimization problem, and the improved simplex method can solve the general linear programming problem. The extremum of the objective function is found when the objective function is a known linear form of the arguments and the elements satisfy a set of linear constraints (equations or inequalities). This method is one of the basic methods in the optimization method. Its advantage is that the calculation amount is smaller than the simplex method, the application is wide, and it is convenient for computer calculation.
